Following all the bad press around Amber Heard and her assault on ex-husband, Johnny Depp, she may not return for Aquaman 2.

Inside sources are worried she could be sent to jail for falsifying evidence, a very real possibility if found guilty.

She faces up to three years in jail if her testimony of assault against her husband is wrong, or false as the case may be.

The Producers of Aquaman don't want bad press on their cast. So you can understand where this is leading to.

In a 2015 audio recording recently obtained by The Daily Mail, Amber Heard allegedly admits to physically abusing her then-husband Johnny Depp. In 2016, Heard filed for divorce from Depp and claimed he’d physically assaulted her multiple times throughout their 18-month marriage.

That same year, after Heard wrote a Washington Post op-ed about purposely being outspoken about domestic abuse, Depp filed a $50 million dollar defamation lawsuit against her that claimed, in part, that she was the abuser in their relationship.

This comes after it was revealed she was the one who sliced Johnny Depp’s finger.

Actresses that can replace Amber Heard as Mera in Aquaman 2 is still under much speculation.

Nonetheless, Aquaman 2 is set for release on December 16, 2022, and a spin-off, The Trench, is in development.
