President Macky Sall of Senegal has extended the nationwide state of emergency in the country due to coronavirus by 30 days, according to the state media.

As of Sunday, the Ministry of Health confirmed has confirmed a total of 222 since March 2.

The African country has also recorded a total of two deaths with 82 releases, according to the official count.

The state of emergency first announced by the head of state on 23 March is accompanied by a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (same hours GMT).

Movement of goods and people and gatherings, public meetings and gatherings are being regulated or prohibited by the authorities.

African News' report added that the ban affected the movement of planes and boats, decide on entry and exit points, or place people under house arrest.
