Kenyan police rescue 11 women from human traffickers

At least 11 women have been rescued from the den of suspected human traffickers by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers in Pangani, Nairobi on Sunday.

The police found the victims, Kenyan nationals, aged between 23 and 30 where they were being held in a single room at Ushirika Estate, Eastleigh, Nairobi.

Two foreigners identified as Thabit Hanni Yaseen Radman and Faren Yassin Radman were arrested in an adjacent room are suspected to be behind the racket.

The DCI did not reveal the duo's nationalities, saying they are “in lawful custody as further investigations ensue”.

Police say the foreigners were allegedly recruiting the young women for unspecified jobs in the Middle East.

According to reports by Standard Media News, Thabit and Faren will be arraigned tomorrow.
