The Moroccan government has announced the suspension of public transport in order to help the African nation curb the spread of coronavirus.

With over a thousand cases in Africa, the North African country's government was forced to make the move after recording a total of 134 national infections from the pandemic which has killed at least four persons.

Authorities have decided to ban the movement of people between cities using private or public transport. As part of this, trains, local flights and ferries have been suspended.

The coronavirus pandemic is at war with most countries of the world, infecting at least 353,266 people, killing at more than 15,000 across the globe.
