Just after volunteering to assist the United States with testing kits and masks, Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma is willing to do the same for Africa.

The billionaire recently pledged to supply 20,000 testing kits, 100,000 masks, and 1,000 protective suits to each African country to help the fight against coronavirus.

He explained the medical supplies would first be delivered to Ethiopia's capital, Addis Ababa, with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed overseeing distribution to the rest of the continent.'

Abiy was full of appreciation to the billionaire for such a wonderful gesture.

"Ensuring #COVID19 preparedness in #Africa to mitigate health disasters is critical. #JackMa and I agreed this morning on ways of working together to halt the spread of #COVID19 on the continent.

"Great appreciation to Jack Ma for partnering with #Ethiopia to distribute 10-20k corona testing kits per country; more than 100k masks for each African country, and guideline books developed recently on how to treat patients with the virus.

"Material support coupled with enhanced knowledge is key to COVID19 containment, the Ethiopian Prime Minister said.
