Victor Osimhen could return to Galatasaray’s starting line-up for the Champions League clash with Barcelona at RAMS Park on Tuesday, October 13.

The 27-year-old returned to action for Galatasaray against Kasımpaşa after coming off the bench in his side’s 3-1 home win on Friday, October 9.

It was the Super Eagles striker’s first game since sustaining a groin injury against İstanbul Başakşehir early last month.

As Galatasaray prepare for their big European night against the Spanish champions, which could see Osimhen in action, MyNigeria Sports looks at five Super Eagles players who have scored against the five-time European champions.

1. Victor Osimhen (Napoli)

Osimhen scored the equaliser in a 1-1 draw in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 in February 2024 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Robert Lewandowski had put Barcelona ahead in the 60th minute before Osimhen levelled in the 75th.

Barcelona eventually progressed after beating Napoli 3-1 in the second leg at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc.

2. Ademola Lookman (Atlético Madrid)

Lookman became a thorn in Barcelona’s side after scoring two crucial goals against the Spanish giants following his move to Atlético Madrid.

His first came in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final in February 2026, when Atlético thrashed Barcelona 4-0 at the Metropolitano.

His second came in a crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg at the same venue in April 2026. Barcelona won 2-1 on the night, but Lookman’s 31st-minute goal, set up by Marcos Llorente, helped Atlético progress to the semi-finals with a 3-2 aggregate victory.

3. George Ilenikhena (Royal Antwerp and Monaco)

The new Super Eagles striker is one player who knows how to put Barcelona to the sword, having done so on two occasions against the Catalans in the Champions League.

Ilenikhena scored in the 92nd minute as Royal Antwerp beat Barcelona 3-2 in a Champions League group-stage clash in December 2023.

Less than a year later, he scored the goal that helped Monaco beat Barcelona 2-1 in their league-phase opener.

4. Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal)

The AC Milan winger is the Super Eagles star with the most goals against Barcelona.

He scored for Villarreal in a thrilling 4-4 draw against Barcelona in April 2019. Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez rescued Barcelona with late goals.

Two seasons later, Chukwueze put Villarreal ahead in the 27th minute, but Barcelona came back to win 2-1.

Chukwueze’s last goal against Barcelona came in November 2021, when he came off the bench to equalise in the 76th minute before Barcelona scored twice late on to win 3-1.

5. Akor Adams (Sevilla)

Adams scored the fourth goal in the 90th minute plus six minutes of added time as Sevilla beat Barcelona 4-1 at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, handing the Catalans their first defeat of the season.

It was his second goal in as many games, just days after his first Super Eagles call-up. He came on as a substitute, and the goal was set up by Chidera Ejuke.
