Former Russian international Vladimir Bystrov has given his prediction for Nigeria’s international friendly with the Sbornaya.

Russia will welcome the Super Eagles at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on Tuesday, October 6.

This will be the second time the two teams have met in two years after playing out a 1-1 draw at the Luzhniki Stadium in June last year.

The hosts took the lead through a Semi Ajayi own goal before Tolu Arokodare equalised for Eric Chelle’s side in the second half.

Speaking on the latest episode of the YouTube show It’s Football, Bystrov tipped his country to beat Nigeria 3-1 in the upcoming encounter.

“I think there will be a penalty.

“These bone-breakers will 100% bring someone down in the penalty area. And the score is 3:1.”
