Harry Kane has joined an exclusive group of players to score at least 100 goals in two of Europe’s top five leagues.

The England captain reached 100 Bundesliga goals for Bayern Munich after previously scoring 213 Premier League goals for Tottenham Hotspur.

Kane achieved the Bundesliga milestone in just 98 appearances, underlining his remarkable scoring rate since moving to Germany.

As reported by Planet Football on Sunday, only five players have managed to reach the century mark in more than one of Europe’s five major domestic leagues: the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

Cristiano Ronaldo is among the most prolific members of the group. The Portuguese forward scored 311 La Liga goals for Real Madrid after reaching 100 in just 94 appearances. He later returned to the Premier League with Manchester United and finished his English career with 103 league goals.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic also reached the landmark in two leagues. The Swedish striker scored 156 Serie A goals during spells with Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan, while adding 113 Ligue 1 goals for Paris Saint-Germain.

Edinson Cavani, another prolific striker in Italy and France, scored 112 Serie A goals for Palermo and Napoli before finding the net 138 times in Ligue 1 for PSG.

Gonzalo Higuain completed the group before Kane’s arrival. The Argentine scored 107 La Liga goals for Real Madrid and followed that with 125 Serie A goals across spells with Napoli, Juventus and AC Milan.

Kane’s achievement places him alongside four of the most accomplished goalscorers of his generation.

With his Bundesliga century arriving after his Premier League haul, the Bayern Munich striker has now established himself among the select few to have produced sustained scoring success in two of Europe’s biggest leagues.
