Arsenal legend Alan Smith has shared his thoughts on reports linking Victor Osimhen with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

The Premier League title holders are reportedly monitoring Osimhen's current situation at Galatasaray.

Other reports even indicate that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has reached out the Super Eagles striker on phone to convince him to consider a move to North London.

The Gunners are currently in the market for a prolific No. 9 after Viktor Gyokeres failed to convince Arteta's technical team in his first season.

Sharing his thoughts on the Osimhen to Arsenal transfer speculations, Smith in a latest interview said, “I don’t know how much truth there is in that,” he told the Gooners News.

“When Osimhen went from Napoli to Galatasaray, I think most people probably thought, oh, his chance to go to the Premier League may be over there. But he can score goals.”

“I think Arsenal do need a centre forward; it’s getting the right one, so that’ll be an interesting one to see how it develops, if it does develop.”
