Nigeria midfielder, Ebenezer Akinsamiro is set for a return to Serie A champions Inter Milan after his permanent transfer to Pisa fell through.

Akinsamiro impressed during his loan stint with Pisa last season despite the club’s relegation from Serie A.

The 21-year-old registered one assist in 24 league appearances for the Tuscan club.

Pisa was prepared to trigger the €7.5 million purchase option in his contract, but the transfer collapsed during the exchange of documents.

Akinsamiro could now secure a move to the Bundesliga, where he reportedly has several admirers, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

Inter Milan are open to a loan or permanent transfer.
