Arne Slot has expressed his gratitude for the amazing ride he had during his time as the manager of Liverpool after he was sacked by the club.
DAILY POST had earlier reported that Liverpool decided to part ways with Slot, only a few days after the Premier League season ended.
The Dutchman failed to lead the Reds to defend their title and managed to finish in fifth place and qualify for the Champions League for next season.
However, in a brief statement on Saturday, Slot said, “It’s been an amazing ride together with Liverpool.
“I am so grateful that we were able to win the league last season,” he said.
Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola is the leading candidate to replace Slot at Anfield after the Spaniard led Bournemouth to qualify for the Europa League for next season.
