Nigeria’s Super Eagles retained 26th position in the latest ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association, FIFA.
The new ranking was published on FIFA’s official website on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles played two games against Iran’s Team Melli, and Al-Nashama of Jordan in March.
Eric Chelle’s side recorded a slim 2-1 victory over Iran and were forced to a 2-2 draw by Jordan.
The two international friendly matches took place in Antalya, Turkey.
The Super Eagles also maintained third position in Africa, behind the Atlas Lions of Morocco, and Terangha Lions of Senegal.
Morocco are ranked in eighth position, while Senegal, who dropped two places are ranked 14th.
On the global stage, France overtook European champions Spain to claim the top spot in the rankings.
The next edition of the FIFA men’s world ranking will be released on 10 June 2026.
