Fulham manager Marco Silva has lauded Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi for his superb finish against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

Iwobi scored a stunner as Fulham edged Tottenham Hotspur 2–1 at Craven Cottage to move into ninth place in the Premier League standings.

The 29-year-old scored a perfectly placed side-footed shot from outside the penalty box after a string of passes in the opposition half.

It was Iwobi’s fourth Premier League goal of the season in 20 appearances.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Silva described Iwobi’s brilliant strike as one of his best goals.

“It’s one of his best goals. He is capable of these types of things. He is stronger when he tries to pick a corner and strike the ball firmly,” the manager stated.
