Atlético Madrid striker Alexander Sørloth became the latest player to write his name in UEFA Champions League history, following his hat-trick against Club Brugge on Tuesday night.

The Norwegian striker starred as Diego Simeone's side dispatched Brugge 4-1 at the Wanda Metropolitano in the second-leg tie of the UCL Round of 16 playoffs.

The result ensured that the Spanish giants progressed to the next stage of the competition with a 7-4 aggregate win, following a thrilling 3-3 draw in the first leg.

Sørloth joined the likes of Victor Osimhen and Kylian Mbappé, who have scored hat-tricks in this season’s competition.
