Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has named his favourite to win the UEFA Champions League this season.

The 2025/2026 UCL campaign is currently at the Round of 16 playoff stage, where eight clubs will progress to meet the other eight teams that qualified automatically from the league phase.

Speaking during an interaction on his Sunday Oliseh’s Global Football Insights, Oliseh tipped Premier League leaders Arsenal as the team to lift the UCL title this season.

The former midfielder described the Gunners as exceptional and solid.

“This Arsenal team is exceptional. They are very solid, they are strong, and that is one very clear reason why they are dominating the way they are in the Champions League,” Oliseh said.

“In fact, I think they have a better chance of winning the Champions League this year than they did last year.”

Mikel Arteta’s side were the only team to win all eight matches in the league phase.
