Former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has disclosed that he has no intention of returning as president of the federation.
Pinnick’s declaration comes amid speculation suggesting he is considering a possible third term as NFF chief.
The 55-year-old, however, quelled such rumours in a recent chat with News Central.
“I’m young. I’m 55. I could still be president. But do I want to be? Never,” Pinnick refuted the claims.
“I’ve been in the role for eight years, and I’m happy with that.
“So, things are moving forward. It’s helping the federation to see some of its problems and how to fix them,” he added.
Pinnick held the role of NFF president for two consecutive terms, from 2014 to 2022.
He also served as First Vice President of CAF and was a member of FIFA’s Organising Committee.
