The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has set a high target for Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations beckons.
According to reports, the NFF has informed the Malian tactician to at least reach the semi-final stage of the tournament to secure his job.
SCORENigeria reports that the Malian tactician met with the NFF Technical Committee in Abuja on Monday, December 1, where the realistic target was set for the three-time African champions.
Chelle was also informed to invite some fresh legs into the team ahead of the biennial competition.
The 48-year-old is expected to announce his squad list for the 2025 AFCON this week.
Nigeria have been pitted in Group C alongside Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The 2023 AFCON finalists will kick off their campaign against Tanzania on December 23.
