Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has responded to harsh criticism over his poor run of form at Werder Bremen.

Boniface joined Werder Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer and is yet to make any meaningful impact since making the switch.

The 24-year-old, who is yet to find the back of the net in seven appearances for Die Grün-Weißen, has come under severe backlash from fans.

Critics have questioned the player’s fitness and commitment, but the former Union Saint-Gilloise striker insists he is not bothered by the criticism.

“Like I said, the media says a lot of things. When you don’t score, people want to talk, but trust me, you don’t know anything about me. I’ve seen things, but I am strong, and anybody that knows me knows that I am a strong guy; those things don’t really affect me,” Boniface told Soccer Laduma.
