Reigning African Footballer of the Year, Ademola Lookman, is set to return to the starting lineup for Atalanta in their UEFA Champions League clash against Club Brugge later today (Tuesday, September 30).

The 28-year-old is yet to make his first start for La Dea since being reinstated into the team following a fallout with the club.

The former Leicester City forward had previously declared his intention to leave after Inter Milan showed strong interest.

Lookman, who netted 20 goals for La Dea across all competitions last season, has made just one appearance so far this campaign.

Atalanta manager Ivan Juric has revealed that the Super Eagles forward could finally make his first start against Club Brugge.

“Ademola has been training with us for a while, and I’m starting to think about it. The same goes for Ederson — they’re two important players we need to bring back into the rotation,” Juric said during his pre-match press conference.
