Galatasaray fans have camped in the Instagram comments section of the Rwandan player who injured Victor Osimhen during the World Cup qualifier.
Nigeria defeated Rwanda 1-0 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, but Victor Osimhen’s injury tainted the crucial three points.
The striker took a hard knock from defender Claude Niyomugabo and was unable to continue, eventually making way for Cyriel Dessers’ competitive debut.
Osimhen was assessed on Sunday morning, and the doctors decided he was not fit, hence he was dropped from the flying squad, as confirmed by the NFF.
He returned to Turkey, where Galatasaray will properly assess him and commence the necessary medical procedure as he works his way back to full fitness.
Galatasaray fans attack Niyomugabo
As noted by Punch NG, Rwandan defender Claude Niyomugabo locked his comments section after the match, but Galatasaray and Nigerian fans texted his old post.
They expressed their displeasure towards his action on their player and even threatened him not to come to Turkey after the incident.

The defender, who is based in the Rwandan Premier League and plays for APR FC, received the support of his home fans and Galatasaray rivals Fenerbahce fans.
Adel Amrouche is unfazed by the threats surrounding the player and has named him to start in the Amavubi’s matchday eight fixture against Zimbabwe.
Nigeria will face South Africa later today, and Nigerians remain curious as to what head coach Eric Chelle will line up for the must-win match.
There are expectations that he will start with two strikers, Cyriel Dessers and Tolu Arokodare, in a two-man attack, or opt for one of them from the get-go.
Whatever the manager opts for, Nigerians will hope they secure the vital three points to keep their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier hopes alive.
Nigerians are aware that they must fight for all points, as it is unlikely that FIFA will impose a three-point deduction on South Africa for playing Teboho Mokoena against Lesotho.
