Southampton have officially announced Paul Onuachu's transfer to Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The club confirmed the player's transfer in a statement on Friday, June 27 (today) via the club's official website.
“Southampton Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed with Trabzonspor for the transfer of striker Paul Onuachu,” the club said.
“The 31-year-old is set to leave St Mary’s after a two-and-a-half year spell, in which he scored four goals in 40 appearances, to join the Turkish side, who he was also loaned to during the 2023/24 season.
“We thank Paul for his efforts during his time as a Saints player and wish him well.”
The Saints will be playing in the Sky Bet Championship next season following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
Onuachu is set to return to the Black Sea Storm where he spent the 2023/2024 season on loan, registering 17 goals and four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.
