Former Arsenal defender William Gallas believes that Victor Osimhen will not be an ideal signing for his former club.
Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli on a permanent transfer this summer.
The 26-year-old had a remarkable season with Galatasaray last season after joining the Turkish club on a season-long loan last September.
The Super Eagles striker netted 37 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions, guiding the Yellow and Reds to the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
The former African Footballer of the Year also won the Golden Boot award in the Super Lig with 26 goals in 30 appearances.
Despite acknowledging Victor Osimhen's striking prowess, Gallas believes the former Lille striker would be a very difficult player for Mikel Arteta to manage.
“Victor Osimhen is a top-class striker, but I could see him clashing with Mikel Arteta,” the 47-year-old told Prime Casino.
“Viktor Gyokeres would be a better fit, but Arsenal have to win the Premier League next season, which means they need to sign Alexander Isak.
“Isak is perfect for Arsenal and they should be going all out to sign him. He would adapt instantly and give them the best chance of winning the title out of any player in the world—they don’t have time to let a striker adapt.”
