French Ligue 1 club Rennes has entered the race to sign Paul Onuachu from Southampton this summer.

According to reports, Rennes is preparing a bid to sign the lanky striker from the Saints.

Onuachu is pushing to leave St Mary's Stadium following the club's relegation to the Sky Bet Championship last season.

Rennes is reportedly ready to rival Turkish Super Lig giants Trabzonspor for the signature of the 31-year-old.

Onuachu spent the 2023/2024 season on loan at Trabzonspor, where he impressed, registering 17 goals and four assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.

The Super Eagles striker has one year left on his current deal with Southampton.
