Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi has been named in the 2025 U-20 African Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament.

Bameyi was one of Nigeria's standout performers in the competition, featuring in all six of their matches.

The 19-year-old was also included in the Team of the Group Stage.

The Team of the Tournament was largely dominated by newly crowned champions South Africa and runners-up Morocco.

Both teams had four players each, while Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Egypt had one representative apiece.

South Africa’s Raymond Mdaka was named Coach of the Tournament.
