Former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi has urged Victor Osimhen to take the next bold step in his career by moving to the English Premier League, describing the Nigerian striker as a “warrior” capable of excelling in any league in the world.
Amokachi, who enjoyed spells in Turkey and England during his own playing career—most notably with Besiktas and Everton—expressed strong confidence in Osimhen’s ability to adapt and dominate in the Premier League.
Osimhen, currently on a season-long loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, has been in blistering form this season. The 26-year-old has racked up an impressive tally of 33 goals and 8 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions, further cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s most lethal forwards. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with top clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea reportedly monitoring his situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking about Osimhen’s potential move, Amokachi lauded the striker’s mental and physical attributes, saying he embodies the traits needed to thrive in the intensity and pace of English football.
“It would be nice to see him play in the best league in the world—the EPL—because any league that Osimhen plays in, he would flourish, no doubt about that,” Amokachi said.
“He has the quality in him; he has the warrior in him. He is a player that any club in the world would love to have.”
Osimhen’s success at Galatasaray has ignited debate over his next career move, and with growing interest from Europe’s elite, the coming months could prove pivotal. A move to the Premier League—long regarded as the most competitive in the world—could offer the Nigerian star a new stage to showcase his talents and further elevate his global standing.
