Super Falcons striker Ifeoma Onumonu is confident that the team will be ready for the 2025 Women's African Cup of Nations.
The nine-time African champions lost 2-1 to France in a friendly match last Friday.
Prior to that clash, Nigeria had beaten Algeria in a double-header friendly in November.
Onumonu, who scored the Falcons' consolation goal in their 2-1 loss to France, believes the team will be better with more preparation before the WAFCON next summer.
"We had only two training sessions, and despite that, we played very well," she told Ojb Sports.
"In terms of preparation, I wish we had more because with more preparation, we can gather more information and perform better."
"It is only telling that when we have more time, and with WAFCON in the summer, with more time to prepare, we'll be a better team."
