Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong has sent an emotional note to goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali on the passing of his father.

Troost-Ekong shared on Instagram on Thursday that he is with Nwabali during this difficult time.

"Love you, brother. We dey together," he posted on Instagram.

Chippa United goalkeeper Nwabali announced his father's death in a post on Thursday, November 15.

In one post, he wrote, "RIP Dad," and in another "Rest in heaven."

Amas Obasogie, the third-choice goalkeeper of the Super Eagles, also offered his condolences to Nwabali.

"My chief, I am keeping you in my thoughts during this sad time. I am deeply sorry for your loss," he wrote.
