Manchester United have reportedly sacked manager Erik ten Hag following their 2-1 defeat to West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday, October 27.
Crysencio Summerville gave the Hammers the lead in the 74th minute, with Casemiro equalizing for United in the 81st minute.
Jarrod Bowen scored the winner from the spot in added time, condemning Manchester United to their fourth Premier League defeat this season.
The Red Devils are currently sitting 14th on the league log with just 11 points after nine games.
In a statement, the club thanked the former Ajax manager for his time with the club.
"We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future," the club stated on their websit.
"Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of the team as interim head coach, supported by the current coaching team, whilst a permanent head coach is recruited," the statement added
Ten Hag joined the Reds in April 2022 and led the club to two domestic trophies, winning the Carabao Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.
