Former Real Madrid forward Antonio Cassano has hit out at Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming that the Portuguese international doesn’t know how to play football.
The former Italian international believes that other strikers, including the likes of Sergio Aguero, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Luis Suarez, and Gonzalo Higuain, are all better forwards than the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
The former Inter and Milan forward added that even if Ronaldo scores 3000 career goals, it will not make him the best player in the world.
“Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t know how to play football. He could score 3000 goals, I don’t give a f*ck.
“[Gonzalo] Higuain, [Sergio] Aguero, [Karim] Benzema, [Robert] Lewandowski, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, and [Luis] Suarez knew how to link up with the team.
“They knew how to do a lot of things, unlike Ronaldo, whose only objective has always been to score.”
Ronaldo recently hit a historic milestone of scoring 900 career goals during the last international break with Portugal.
The 39-year-old has set his sights on hitting a possible 1000 career goals before he calls time on his illustrious career.
