NTA to broadcast AFCON 2023

The Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) has announced that it will be showing all 52 matches of the 2023 African Cup of Nations tournament.

Africa's biggest television network disclosed this via its social media handle on Wednesday, January 10.

In a tweet, the broadcast service stated that it has secured exclusive rights to broadcast all 52 games that will be played in Ivory Coast.

“NTA signs Memorandum of Understanding with Afro Sports for transmission of 52 matches of Africa Cup Of Nations in Cote D’ivoire.”

This comes against the backdrop of MultiChoice's decision not to broadcast the matches on its platform.

According to the DStv parent company, it failed to secure the right to show the continent's flagship football event on its SuperSports channels.
