A photo of Barcelona Women's football club duo Asisat Oshoala and Keira Walsh wearing swapped shirts of their national teams has made the rounds on social media.
The Lioness against all odds secured a hard-fought penalty shootout victory over the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the round of 16 of the competition on Monday, August 7.
Keira Walsh has been fantastic for the Lionesses of England since the beginning of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, and she was able to play a vital role in her team's victory over the Super Falcons of Nigeria.
Keira Walsh was given a starting role by her coach, following her excellent performance for the club in their previous matches, and she was able to impress again on Monday morning.
Asisat Oshoala was dropped to the bench by coach Randy Waldrum and she was introduced to the pitch in the second half of the game.
After playing out a goalless draw in the 120 minutes of the game, the Lionesses of England secured a 4-2 victory over the Super Falcons of Nigeria to progress to the quarter-final of the competition.
England Women's national team star Keira Walsh went straight to her club-side teammate Asisat Oshoala after the end of the game, and the duo spoke for few minutes before they swapped their shirts.
