'No matter what team he plays in' - Spalletti who will no longer coach Osimhen

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has made some transfer admissions concerning Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, who has been linked with a number of prominent European clubs, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles striker, who scored a brace against Bologna to bring his Serie A goal file to 25 in 31 league games, has aroused the attention of teams like as Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich, who are eager to sign him.

Spalletti, whose confirmation of his departure from the Diego Maradona Stadium recently came from Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, said that the Nigerian forward would perform well for whichever team he joins outside of Naples.

The former LOSC Lille star was transformed into a potent striker by the Italian maestro, whose goal-scoring ability has been essential to the Gli Azzurri’s success this season.

Speaking after his team’s draw with Bologna, the 64-year-old praised the Nigerian sensation and acknowledged that he would grow to be an elite player.

“He will have an important future, no matter what team he plays in, and is above all a good lad too,” Spalletti said, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.

The Certaldo-born manager described the Nigerian international as a team player who helps his teammates overcome difficulties rather than complaining.

He added: “His teammates love him, he helps them out and resolves situations rather than complains. He will become even more of a top player in future.”

The Nigerian star’s future at the club is still up in the air, even though his contract with the team expires in 2025. Although the Nigerian has not spoken about his future, he would undoubtedly give De Laurentiis a hot summer if teams came knocking on his door.
