Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City will be the greatest team if they get over one major hurdle

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola believes his team will have to win the UEFA Champions League to be considered one of the greatest teams in history.

Pep and his City side won their third consecutive Premier League title following Arsenal's shocking defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, May 20.

The EPL title was the Spanish tactician's fifth title in his last six seasons at the club.

The Citizens were crowned champions on Sunday following their 1-0 home victory over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City are gunning for a historic treble after bagging the PL title as they are in the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League final.

Many have tipped them as one of the greatest team in history but Pep insists, they have to win the UCL title to warrant the hype.

“I have the feeling we’ve done something exceptional, but to be considered one of the greatest [teams] we have to win the Champions League, otherwise it’s not complete,” Guardiola said after a 1-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.

City face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10.

They will also play the FA Cup final against Manchester United on June 3.
