The Golden Eaglets have expressed confidence ahead of their 2023 U-17 Nations Cup group opener against Zambia.

Despite claiming five FIFA World Cup trophies, the Eaglets have managed just two Nations Cup titles at the continental level.

The Golden Eaglets last AFCON triumph came in 2007, but Nduka Ugbade would look to change the narrative this time around.

Nigeria have been pitted in Group B alongside, Zambia, South Africa, and Morocco

The team will begin its campaign on Sunday, April 30 when they tackle Zambia in their Group B opener.

The players have expressed confidence ahead of their clash against Zambia as they believe no team can stop them.

“We are adapting well to the weather,” they said per Francis Achi.

“Zambia is not strong enough for us. We don’t fear anybody, and we are ready to beat anybody.

“We also respect them, they have a good body structure. But our coach has put us through, we have a serious attitude, and nothing can stop us.

Coach Nduka Ugbade's side will be looking forward to a great tournament in Algeria with the FIFA World Cup places out for grabs.
