Italian Serie A giants AC Milan have joined the race for Samuel Chukwueze's signature, as per reports.

The 23-year-old's impressive form this season has attracted interest from elite European clubs with the Rossoneri being the latest to express keen interest in his service.

The Super Eagles winger has managed 13 goals plus 11 assists for the Yellow Submarines this term, with his latest display coming against Real Madrid in La Liga.

Italian newspaper Calcio Mercato reports that the Rossoneri have identified Chukwueze as an ideal player to boost their attacking options.

“Milan have targeted Villarreal’s right winger Samuel Chukwueze who is holding up monstrous numbers this season with 13 goals and 11 assists in 40 games played,” the report stated as quoted by The PUNCH.

“The Nigerian born in 1999 is very popular with the Rossoneri executives and his contract expires in 2024. Milan can work with the Yellow Submarine for a hefty discount on the €80m release clause in the contract.”

Chukwueze has also been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu following his dazzling display against Los Blancos last Saturday where he scored a brace in Villarreal's 3-2 win against Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Marca reports that Fiorentino Perez is impressed with the Nigerian international and is considering a move for the Diamond Academy product to pair with Vinicius Junior on the flanks for the European champions.
