Osimhen undergoes therapy

Napoli talisman, Victor Osimhen underwent therapy on Monday, April 3 following his recent injury.

The 24-year-old suffered discomfort in his left adductor on his return from international duty with the Super Eagles.

The Serie A leading top scorer was missing in action when champions, AC Milan thumped the runaway league leaders 4-0 in their own backyard at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium last Sunday.

Reports emerging from the SSCN Konami Training Centre indicate that the players who featured against Milan took to the gym whereas the injured Osimhen had a therapy session.

“Those who took to the pitch yesterday from the start did unloading work in the gym. The other men in the squad were involved in an initial phase of activation and then in a match on a reduced pitch. Bereszynski played personalized work in the field. Osimhen did therapies,” the report stated.

Napoli will travel away to Lecce in their next Serie A encounter on Friday, April 7, it is unclear if Osimhen will be given the green light to feature for the Napoli-based team.

Osimhen has recorded 21 goals and 5 assists for Luciano Spalletti's side who are currently sitting 16 points clear at the top of Serie A.

Napoli are just five wins away from clinching their first Scudetto title since 1990.
