The Super Eagles of Nigeria are two wins away from booking their place at the 2023 Nations Cup ahead of their double-header clash against Guinea-Bissau.

This comes against the backdrop of the results between Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe on Wednesday, March 22.

Sao Tome and Principe held Sierra Leone to a 2-2 draw away from home to secure their first point in the qualifiers.

Nigeria will play host to the Djurtus at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Friday, March 24 in what will be Nigeria's third game in the qualifiers.

Jose Peseiro's side won their group opener 2-1 against Sierra-Leone before thumping Sao Tome and Principe 10-0 in their second group game to top Group A.

With 6 points heading into the encounter, a win in both legs will see the three-time continental champions secure an early ticket to the next edition of the Nations Cup billed for Ivory Coast.

Nigeria will travel away to Guinea-Bissau for the return fixture on Monday, March 27 after Friday's game.
