The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been dragged into the trolls on social media after Liverpool defeated Manchester United in the English Premier League game on Sunday, March 5.
Liverpool recorded their biggest win of the season against their rivals Manchester United in a game that saw them score six goals in the second half.
Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah each scored two goals in an extraordinary performance by Jurgen Klopp's side before Roberto Firmino added the seventh as United capitulated amid scenes of wild jubilation among the home support.
United's defeat to Liverpool generated a conversation on social media with fans of the Red Devils noting that they won the game 3-8.
According to them, only INEC, Nigeria's electoral body can change the scoreline as they have been accused of doing at the presidential elections.
Starting the troll of INEC was popular blogger @mufasatundeednut. He wrote: "Thank you @inecnigeria, without you, we would have not won this match. Congratulations MANCHESTER UNITED!!! @liverpoolfc, if you are not okay with this score, GO TO COURT. MANCHESTER UNITED FANS, can I see your RED in the comment section?"
