Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed his disappointment following Leicester City's exit from the FA Cup.

The Foxes suffered a disappointing 2-1 defeat to EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday, February 28.

Two goals from Tyrhys Dolan and Sammie Szmodics ensured that the ex-Manchester City man's 67th-minute strike only counted for a consolation.

Iheanacho, 26, could not hide his disappointment at the end of the game after Brendan Rodger's side failed to qualify for the quarterfinals of football's oldest competition.

“I am so disappointed, I don’t even have the words now especially because we were at home, the Super Eagles striker told LCTV.

“We did our bit, but it was not enough. If you don’t do what you have to do, you get punished. We just have to look forward to the Premier League and do better.”

The Foxes will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they lock horns with Southampton at the Saint Mary's Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, March 4.
