Davido was one of the headline musical acts at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but other Nigerian superstars have been making big moves recently.

Nigerian artistes Burna Boy, Rema, and Tems were some of the top stars that performed during the half-time show at the NBA All-Star games in Salt Lake City.

Musical acts from Nigeria have been making waves in the world in recent years.

Wizkid is one of the biggest Nigerian exports, alongside Davido. In fact, the latter featured in the theme song for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the Mundial, but the nation was ably represented as Davido performed at the World Cup final.

Davido is not the only Nigerian act making big moves. Grammy Award winners, Tems, ‘Last Last’ crooner, Burna Boy, and Mavin Records star boy Rema have been doing big things.

The three were part of the musical acts during the NBA All-Star Game that went down on Monday. The All-Star Game is a basketball exhibition game hosted every February by the National Basketball Association (NBA), and it showcases 24 of the league’s star players.

Two basketball players of Nigerian origin were picked for the games, Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokoumpo, albeit they play for the USA and Greece, respectively.

Nonetheless, the Nigerian musicians that performed on the night ensured that the ‘Naija flavour’ was not missing.

Tems thrilled the fans with her voice, Rema sang his hits, and Burna Boy set the crowd on fire with his stage performance.

The three Nigerian artists were the first Nigerians to perform at the All-Star games, and they gave a brilliant account of themselves.

The All-Star game ended in Team Giannis’ favour. They won the tie 184-175. Jayson Tatum broke Anthony Davis’ record for the highest points in an NBA All-Star game as he drilled in 55 points.

It was Team LeBron’s first loss in the last six All-Star Games.
