Napoli have increased Victor Osimhen's asking price to €140m as per reports.

Osimhen, 24, has been integral to Napoli's remarkable season which has seen them open a seven-point gap at the top of Serie A ahead of champions Milan.

His phenomenal form this term has seen him manage 10 Serie A goals to sit at the apex of the top scorer's chart ahead of Inter's Lautaro Martinez, Marco Arnautovic and M'Bala Nzola all on 8 goals.

The Super Eagle outstanding form has not gone unnoticed as he has drawn interest from top European clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid among many other clubs.

Osimhen's reported move to United intensified in recent weeks following the mutual termination of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract as many tipped the Nigerian international to replace the five-time Ballon d'Or winner at Old Trafford.

Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis in the summer tasked Osimhen's suitors to pay nothing less than €100m to land the signature of the former Lille forward.

Meanwhile, recent reports from the Italian publication, Il Mattino suggests that the club president believes that Osimhen is now worth €140m.

“De Laurentiis thinks that Osimhen is worth it. The Nigerian knows how to do everything right: eight goals in the last eight games. He is undoubtedly the new ruler of Naples. Irreplaceable.”

Osimhen has two years remaining on his contract with the Naples-based team, reports indicate that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are the favourites to land the signature of Napoli's talisman.
