The Blues have been active in the market since the turn of the year but could still bring in a Nigerian descent

PSV starlet Noni Madueke has emerged as a transfer interest for Chelsea as the Blues continue to pull their weight in the transfer market.

A busy winter transfer window has seen Chelsea seal high-profile deals for Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, and Andrey Santos.

But Chelsea are far from done with their transfer dealings and according to The Times, the Londoners have agreed to a loan deal for João Félix from Atletico Madrid and are considering a move for Madueke thereafter.

Madueke left England two and a half years ago to team up with PSV after spending four years in Tottenham’s academy without making a single first-team appearance.

The 20-year-old has, however, broken through at PSV where he is developing his trade as a right-winger, centre-forward, attacking midfielder, and part-time left-winger.

Madueke’s output has been impressive with the youngster registering 19 goals and 14 assists in 78 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie club.

It will take some effort to convince PSV to part with their prized asset though, with the former Crystal Palace schoolboy committed to the Dutch club until June 2025.

Born in Barnet, London, to parents of Nigerian roots, Madueke has represented England at U15, U16, U17, U18, and U21 levels but he remains eligible to feature for the Super Eagles.

Head coach of the Nigerian national team Jose Peseiro is known to be eyeing players of Nigerian descent to increase the quality of the three-time African champions.

Madueke could join Crystal Palace stars Ebere Eze and Michael Olise and Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo on the shortlist of the Portuguese manager.
