Super Eagles Midfielder Frank Onyeka missed Brentford’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday due to a hamstring injury.

According to Jay Harris, Brentford reporter for The Athletic UK, Onyeka failed to recover in time for the clash and was completely left out of the squad by coach Thomas Frank.

The former Midtjylland player however remains doubtful for the next league game against West Ham United on December 30.

The 25-year-old has struggled to nail down a regular place in the starting 11, making 12 league appearances for the Bees this season.

In his absence, Brentford were forced to a draw by visiting Tottenham Hotspur.

Brentford led 2-0, courtesy of goals from Vitaly Janelt and Ivan Toney, before Spurs snatched a point with two late goals from Harry Kane and Pierre Emerick Hojberg.
