The Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr Mohammed Sanusi says the Super Eagles are capable of producing Morocco’s extra-ordinary run at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.

Morocco beat Belgium, Canada, Spain and Portugal on their way to become the first African side to reach the semi-final of FIFA World Cup.

While the Super Eagles, who failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, are yet to go beyond the round of 16.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Players Unions’ reconciliation committee, Sanusi said he was confident that Nigeria can do better with a peaceful atmosphere.

“Morocco has done exceedingly well for Africa at the ongoing FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.

“Nigeria is capable of doing likewise and even better if we have a peaceful atmosphere in which all stakeholders work towards a common, noble goal,” Sanusi said.
