Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has been dropped over disciplinary reasons for Cameroon's clash with Serbia at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Renowned Italian Sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano reports that the former Ajax man was dropped over his refusal to change his goalkeeping style as requested by Cameroon coach Rigobert Song.

"André Onana has been removed from Cameroon’s squad. Been told that the reason is a discussion with head coach as he insisted for different style of goalkeeping, more ‘traditional’"

"Onana has no intention to change his style — tense situation & so he’s been excluded," Romano tweeted.

The 26-year-old who started for Cameroon in their group opener against Switzerland has been replaced with Devis Epassy.

Cameroon are currently trailing by 2-1 to Serbia at the Al Janoub Stadium at half-time.

Castelletto's gave the Indomitable Lions the lead in the 29th minute before Serbia turned the game on its head with two goals in quick succession on the stroke of half-time.
