KRC Genk striker Paul Onuachu has attributed his side's 6-1 hammering against Westerlo in the Jupiler League on Tuesday, October 19 to consistency and hard work.
The Nigerian international grabbed a brace as Genk recorded a comprehensive victory at the Cegeka Arena.
It was the Super Eagles striker's 6th goal in his 4th consecutive game for the Limburgers.
The 28-year-old endured a difficult start to the season after missing the first three league games to injury.
Onuachu fired blank in the next six consecutive matches on his return from injury.
However, the former Midtjylland striker has recovered his form after firing from all cylinders in the past four games.
Speaking after Genk's resounding victory on Tuesday, the gangling striker hailed the team's hard work and effort for the victory.
He added that nothing has changed about his game, and his blistering form can be attributed to his hard work at training.
“Everyone did their job and knew what they had to do in the game against Westerlo,” Onuachu told Sporza as per Walfoot.
“It’s not correct to say that our opponents were weak. It’s only the result of our work. We pressed well. We played the way the coach wanted us to. we play. I’m very happy with this victory.”
“I haven’t changed the way I play. The goals keep coming and I keep working. These goals are the result of my hard work in training.”
