Unstoppable Onuachu hits a brace for Genk

Paul Onuachu made it 6 goals in 4 consecutive matches with a first-half brace as Genk white-washed Westerlo 6-1 at the Cegeka Arena in a Jupiler League fixture.

Genk sit top of the Standings and made light work of Westerlo; the goals started raining early as Joseph Painstil and Daniel Munoz put KRC ahead inside the first 15 minutes.

But Westerlo halved the deficit when they won and converted a penalty 6 minutes after.

With 3 goals in 21 minutes the game was on course for a big score line and Onuachu didn’t pass up the chance to join the party.

He reacted well to convert inside the box after he was assisted with a pinpoint pass from Painstil in the 32nd minute.

Six minutes later, Genk won a penalty and Onuachu coolly sent the keeper the wrong way to get his second of the encounter.

Munoz also got his brace before the end of the first half before Patrik Hrosovsky rounded up the scoring for Genk in the 79th minute to keep them top of the League; four points ahead of Yusuf Alhassan’s Royal Antwerp, albeit the latter have a game in hand scheduled for Thursday.
