Moffi ruled out of clash against Troyes

French Ligue 1 outfit FC Lorient have confirmed that Nigerian international Terem Moffi sustained a sprain to the ankle in their game against Reims last Saturday, October 15.

The 23-year-old was withdrawn in the 25th minute as Lorient played a goalless draw at home in the French Ligue 1.

The Ligue 1 club on Wednesday, October 19 confirmed that the in-form striker will miss the weekend fixture against Troyes.

FC Lorient however didn't disclose the extent of his injury explaining that it will be communicated publicly in the coming days.

Moffi has been in blistering form for Lorient this season. The Super Eagles striker has netted 8 Ligue 1 goals and is in close competition with the PSG duo of Neymar and Mbappe.

He is highest scoring Nigerian in Europe's top 5 leagues. He also scored Nigeria's only goal in their 2-1 defeat to Algeria in last month's international friendly.
