Nigeria's U-17 women's team, Flamingoes lost by 2-1 to Germany in their opening group game of the U-17 Women's World Cup in India.
The Germans came from behind to snatch all three points from Nigeria after Miracle Usani had given Nigeria the lead with a stunning underneath freekick in the 30th minute.
Coach Bankole Olowookere’s side went into the halftime break with a one-goal lead.
Germany equalized 5 minutes after the restart courtesy of Svea Stold before Mara Alber got the winner in the 61st minute.
The Flamingoes will hope to bounce back from the defeat when they take on Chile and New Zealand in their remaining group matches.
