Iwobi loses Premier League POTM award to Manchester United's Marcus Rashford

Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi has been beaten to the Premier League Player of the Month Award by Manchester United's Marcus Rashford.

The Nigerian international was nominated alongside the eventual winner Rashford, Kelvin De Bruyne, Philip Billing of Bournemouth, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg of Spurs, and Aston Villa's Jacob Ramsey.

The 26-year-old was phenomenal for the Toffees in the month of September, but his effort was not enough to win him the coveted award.

Iwobi provided two assists in September coupled with some remarkable display in the Everton midfield.

The former Arsenal man will be in action when Everton visit the Saint Mary's to take on Southampton on Saturday, October 1.
